Changes coming to Twitter DM

I have a feeling Twitter DM is hard to use, or rather manage. Deleting a long conversation, if you have to, will take you hours so when I read that Twitter is planning a raft of changes on its DM I thought that they are going to make the DM management a little bit easier. I expected that Twitter DM will now feature:

1. Select All DM’s and move to trash, mark as read, mark as unread, archive etc

2. Select All Conversations in a Twitter DM and delete

3. Twitter Chat

4. Twitter Chat DM Integration

5. Twitter Conferencing? Video Call? All Facebook Chat features?

Well I don’t know if Twitter DM will come with those cool* features to increase the time tweeps stay on Twitter. But what I’m  sure about is that Twitter has already enabled people you don’t follow to DM you. That’s cool because now you won’t have to receive follow back tweets from not so cool tweeps so that you can get their DMs. It is also rumored that there is going to be an app solely for Twitter DM. I wish that app will have those desired features.

What is your opinion on the topic?
