Easy Taxi a step ahead of Uber Taxi with first loyalty card program

Taxi drivers are bound to have discounts off fuel, parts and servicing following a partnership between Easy Taxi and Hashi Energy making it the first loyalty card program for the industry. The move is set to provide the drivers better safety, better access to more customers and better rides as well as rewards for fueling up with Hashi.

The partnership comes few days after Uber taxi services officially launched in Nairobi with exciting offers for the often taxi user. The industry seems to be headed the convenience way which is what customers expect of cabs hoping around town. Drivers may have been forgotten in the industry that has not had adequate attention before but the two companies are looking to empower taxi drivers within Nairobi henceforth.

Hashi Energy, one of East Africa’s leading oil and gas company is a 360 degree energy solutions provider that has been in operation for over 23years. Hashi’s core business is importation, distribution and marketing of energy products currently supplying petroleum products to 8 countries across Africa.

The two companies having launched the first and only loyalty card program for taxi drivers, the service is only eligible to drivers who are registered and in good standing with Easy Taxi. Drivers looking to join the mobile taxi application can use their smartphones with an Android operating system.

How to become a partner driver

Make your pre-registration by phone: download the app by clicking the link or visit Google Play and search for Easy Taxi driver app. Within 48h after submitting your details you will receive a call from Easy Taxi driver care team to finish the registration.

Just choose your respective country flag in the top-right corner to switch between different markets. Depending on the city, you can register with Easy Taxi at the office or at one of the partner venues.

Taxi users looking to join the service can as well register by downloading the application available on Android, Windows phone and Blackberry devices. passengers confirm their pickup point and order a cab with a single click.

In seconds, a confirmation screen shows the name, photo and car model/plate of their pre-screened taxi driver plus the map with the real-time position of the vehicle. Options like in-app payment, corporate accounts, favorite addresses, selection of service features, special discounts, passenger-driver messaging and ride history are available according to location.
