Kijani Ridge rewards new home buyers at Tatu Smart City through Chaguo ni Tatu campaign

The concept of Smart City is hard to pull off given the experience of Konza City but it seems Tatu City is getting it right given the progress they have made so far. The design of smart city is such that it maximizes the city functions to improve the quality of life for citizens using smart technologies.  Smart technology here simply refers to devices that make use of emerging tech like Artificial Intelligence (AI), the fast Internet network like 5G, connectivity to the cloud, internet of things and more.

In our case, I would say a place that give you properly well-done roads, fast internet, reliable electricity, water, schools would probably be called smart place. Tatu city already has these basics. They have their own electricity secure directly from Kengen, in other wards the residents and companies operating there are no taken though the shenanigans of Kenya Power. That also means the electricity is more affordable. They have their own Tatu private water supply, they also have their Tatu Internet service provider.

From the above it makes sense that many of the big names companies have already set up their operations there. The likes of Kenya Wine Agencies Limited, Dormans, Copia, Cooper K-Brands, Grit Real Estate Income Group, Twiga Foods, CCI Global, Freight Forwarders Solutions, Friendship Group and Davis & Shirtliff. The real estate developers like Kijani Ridge, Kofinaf, Unity Homes already doing so many units for the over 300,000 residents.

I got chance to tour Tatu city while attending the Kijani ridge launch of a campaign dubbed  “Chaguo ni Tatu” and I was impressed with what I saw. The progress is visible and out there for everyone to see.

Meanwhile Kijani is rewarding the new buyers of their units with a car, bonus plot or cash. To be exact the Prizes up for grabs include the choice of a Toyota Harrier, Mazda CX5 or CX3 or Toyota Auris; a 1/8-acre plot at Oaklands, a sister development to Tatu City; or a cash discount. To qualify, buyers must visit the Chaguo ni Tatu webpage, agree to the Terms & Conditions, submit their details and qualify by making their payment according to the prize they want.

Kijani Ridge’s fully-serviced 1/4- and 1/2-acre plots start at KES 28 million, with a flexible payment plan of up to 24 months.

“The time to invest in Kijani Ridge is now,” said David Karimi, Head of Sales at Tatu City. “Power, 24/7 water and tarmacked roads are complete, following our KES 1 billion infrastructure investment. Every investment requires sacrifice, which is why ‘Chaguo ni Tatu’ rewards our clients for choosing Tatu City.”

When clients purchase a Kijani Ridge plot, Tatu City and its select banking partners make financing accessible and flexible. Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company recently announced that it has made home ownership easier. In the Nairobi Metropolitan Area, which includes Tatu City, homeowners can access mortgage financing of up to KES 8 million at 9.5% interest rate.
