Five Jobs ChatGPT Is Replacing In Companies This 2023

In case you have not heard about ChatGPT, (Generative Pre-trained Transformer), this is a chatbot launched by OpenAI in November 2022. It is built on top of OpenAI’s GPT-3 family of large language models, which can do things like write code, answer questions, and provide a very specific copy using AI technology. The bot works with both supervised and reinforcement learning techniques.

ChatGPT has garnered attention for its detailed responses and articulate answers across many domains of knowledge. Its uneven factual accuracy was identified as a significant drawback. Thanks to ChatGPT, OpenAI was reportedly valued at $29 billion. Despite experts poking holes into the bot, company owners are quickly adopting ChatGPT and slowly laying off employees. Some of the offices being overthrown by the bot are;

  1. Ad Copywriter
    Companies previously paying copywriters handsomely are quickly letting them go. ChatGPT can write in an intelligent, enjoyable, and informative style. The bot can coin content to connect with the audience/consumer who is looking to buy a product. It can string a sentence together—even an essay. It can come up with blog topics. In short, it can do many things that previously only humans could do.

2. Advisor
I came across a CEO in the interwebs who says ChatGPT is doing a better job in advising, than his former advisor did, providing not only professional relief but also an economic one. On typing in your query, ChatGPT immediately provides you with an answer, garnered from available information online, and expert input.

3. Project Manager
Companies are coming out of $150,000 contracts with persons employed to deal with and manage difficult clients and fully depending on this bot for management.

4. Hiring Manager
Hiring managers work alongside recruiters and HR managers where they oversee the selection and hiring of new talent. Their main goal is to ensure that the candidate with the best qualifications and characteristics is selected and hired. Businesses that need to hire new talents through a talent manager are now finding it easier to use ChatGPT to do the same, again at a lower cost.

5. Marketing Heads
Marketers in companies are tasked with campaigns that could be weekly or monthly, depending on the task at hand. Some company owners are now downsizing personnel from this department, replacing them with the bot.

In cases where personnel has not been fully eliminated, departments have been downsized, since the job at hand is made easier by the now ‘popular’ chatbot.
