Standard Chartered Women In Tech has awarded top five startups in the just completed Cohort 5 tech programme.
The Startups with diverse business models were awarded $ 10,000 in seed funding after a 12 weeks of an immersive learning experience.
The five winners recognised at the award ceremony held at the Standard Chartered headquarters are;
Sello Designs; a social business that designs and makes sustainable, durable and timeless bags using locally sourced leather and kitenge fabric.
Digipath Africa; Helping brands to establish an internet presence through online channels like organic search, social media, paid ads, and websites.
Aurora Health Systems; A biotech startup that is developing a wireless heart monitor for use in low resource environments. Aims to improve remote monitoring outside hospital settings.
Keyara Botanics; Keyara is a proudly Kenyan, organic and Natural skin care shop. All our products use Naturally sourced oils from across Africa, revoked for the healing qualities. Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Coconut oil, Macadamia Oil and Black African Soap
Learning Differently; Offering courses for teachers, parents and caregivers. Making learning inclusive inside and outside the classroom

The Standard Chartered Women in Technology Incubator Kenya is Africa’s leading incubator programme for female founded businesses, aligning with calls for more diversity in technology, entrepreneurship and for more opportunities for women to develop entrepreneurial and leadership excellence. The program is an initiative of Standard Chartered in partnership with @iBizAfrica Centre, Strathmore University.
The program combines world class startup support with local and international experience to provide a holistic startup incubation program focusing on immersive learning, mentorship & coaching, seed financing and business to business linkages for high potential startups tackling the continent’s most relevant challenges.
