Having used the two versions of Redmi Note 11, first 4GB/128GB version and then 6GB/128GB version, now I understand why the Redmi Note Series is so popular with 240 million units sold worldwide. The device offers superior specs ranging from camera, display, battery and charging efficiency. In essence it provides high-level performance to suit the ever-evolving needs of consumers across the board. According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 11 Series is the next step in Xiaomi’s global mandate to make innovative technology both accessible and affordable.
The Redmi Note 11 is in line with Xiaomi’s clever strategy of sorting out problems unique to the developing markets across the world. It is long lasting battery life and the pricing are two top factors that most consumers in those markets look out for. One problem I always observe with most phone manufacturers, especially when it comes to battery life for example, they say one thing but when you start using the phone, what you get is really not it. I think at this point it should be possible for them to understand and estimate rightly what it takes to get it right with the battery life. I have also mentioned before several times that whoever sorts out the smartphone battery life problem will save so many people in the developing world with power challenges. I can not say for sure that Xiaomi has done it completely but I think they are in the right direction with the Redmi Note 11.. More on the Battery later.
Design
Redmi Note 11 features a flat frame design with a minimalist style. At 6.4 inches Redmi note 11 is reasonably compact and fits on the hand nicely. The Camera setup at the back looks awesome It weighs 179g and is 8.09mm thick. Have you ever used a phone and then thought that it is just perfect, like it is the perfect fit for the hand, perfect fit for your pocket and perfect fit for the screen typing? I think Redmi Note 11 is one phone that is a perfect fit in every sense of it.
AMOLED DotDisplay
Looking at the price of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11, it is amazing that it comes with 6.43 inch AMOLED display. That is actually a rare feature to find in a phone at that price range. One thing for sure is that with the AMOLED panel, you can expect nice wide viewing angles and sharp contrast. With a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 360Hz, Redmi Note 11 enhances your screen experience with smoother animations and lag-free transitions, while also registering more precise finger touches. The screen iis equipped with an FHD+ AMOLED DotDisplay featuring DCI-P3 wide color gamut, providing more vibrant colors and details, while also reaching as much as 1200 nits to ensure the screen’s clarity even in bright daylight.
I think the team gave it their all when it comes to the design. The color accuracy and brightness level are so good for a mid level device .
Speakers
For the music lovers, tiktokers and others who use the phone to listen or watch things, the phone has a very good speaker. The only small complaint is with the bass but it is loud enough for audio consumption
Performance
A few days ago, somebody who regularly read some of my reviews said that he thought that the issue of performance is never well explained though it might sound obvious. Looking closely at it, I realized that it is one aspect of a phone that very few Kenyans think about. In most cases people ask about how the camera is, the battery life, and things like color. Performance is important because of the apps usage on the phone. The apps are becoming complicated and some of them are very bulky. In that respect the phone needs to fast in order to process a number of them at once -multitasking. A good performance means using the phone without realizing how many processes are going on in the background. You get that with Redmi Note 11
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G (nm) chipset. As I have mentioned above, I have used two versions of the Redmi Note 11. The first one was backed by 4GB RAM and internal storage of 128GB. Meanwhile the latest one is backed 6GB RAM and 128 GB storage. There is a separate slot for microSD memory cards up to 1TB. In terms of performance plays a big part on, as it is actually what enables the phone to multitask. As you use one app the other apps and system processes remain idle somewhere within the memory storage and then get recalled when you activate them.
Camera
While reviewing the 4GB/128GB unit, I talked about how the competition among the phone companies to be the best in the camera sector has brought the best out of them. And the world has become more visual with many memories being recorded in the form of pictures, audio or videos. It is no wonder that the camera specs are the first thing many consumers look out for when they want to buy the phone. . Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 has a complex 50MP quad-camera system. At the rear, the quad-camera setup features a 50 MP primary camera, 8 MP ultra wide camera with an f/2.4 aperture, a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture, and another 2 MP known as depth camera. The front camera is a 13 MP with an f2.4 aperture.
