Nairobi Garage new office space

Nairobi Garage is set to open the doors to a fourth innovative workspace in the Spring Valley area, in response to accelerating demand from established and emerging companies wishing to benefit from the Nairobi Garage flexible working culture.

The Garage in Spring Valley adds a further 28,000 sq ft of workspace – housing 450 desks, and 22 private offices – to the Nairobi Garage network. The new location – located in The Promenade – is the most premium space to date; with boardrooms fully equipped with video conferencing facilities, and design thinking rooms on hand to support the creative work of members.

In response to the growing reputation of events hosted by The Garage, the Spring Valley facility also scales up the network’s available events facilities with an outdoor deck with a 300 person capacity, suitable for events, breakout work, and team building and collaboration sessions.

The design of the new premises reflects the increasing number of corporate entities and established businesses opting for the flexible work solutions pioneered by Nairobi Garage, which allows companies to remain agile and responsive to their changing space needs, while also relieving them of the logistical burden of long-term leases and providing staff with a more dynamic work environment in the core of the innovation ecosystem. Unilever Kenya is one such corporate that has selected Nairobi Garage as its headquarters in the city, and now forms part of the Garage community.

All Nairobi Garage spaces are serviced by incredible internet connectivity, thanks to a wider partnership with Liquid Telecom, aimed at supporting the growth of the digital entrepreneurship in Kenya.

“The Garage offers something far beyond the mundane office model of working – we provide vibrant spaces, geared towards improving productivity and creativity, as well as a fantastic network of Nairobi’s brightest business and tech leaders, and entrepreneurs. Our new space along General Mathenge is exceptional, and we’re really excited to open our doors in the new year,” says Hannah Clifford, director of Nairobi Garage.

With the addition of the Spring Valley location – which will open its doors in January – The Garage now operates four spaces spanning Nairobi, offering over 1,500 desks.  Members have the ability to drop in and work from any premises at no extra cost.
