One month of waiting must not have been easy, especially for those who were so much interested to own the latest gadgets from Huawei to the point of placing preorders. Good news is, the wait is finally over. The preorders of all the P30 series smartphones, that’s the Huawei P30 Pro, Huawei P30, and our favorite The Huawei P30 Lite ended on Friday April the 25th, and starting yesterday, today, and tomorrow, those preorders will be delivered at your doorsteps – plus the free gift hampers that were promised alongside the devices, namely a bluetooth speaker for those who preordered the Huawei P30 Lite. For those who preordered the higher P30 or even the P30 Pro versions, the Huawei Band 3e gets added into the gift hamper too.
Given that the devices are now available in Kenya, it means anyone can now walk into any of the major stores in Kenya and buy one at leisure. All the major online stores including Jumia, Kilimall, and Masoko have the gadgets. Also, all the telecommunication carriers namely Safaricom, Airtel and Telkcom have the devices well stocked at their customer care centers and other shops across the country. You should also expect the major phone retailers in all major towns to have the devices in stock.
The prices of the devices are as follows: The Huawei P30 Pro is retailing for Kshs 100K, the standard Huawei P30 is retailing for Kshs 73K while our favorite the Huawei P30 Lite is retailing for only Kshs 30K (you should get a one shilling change from those prices but we all know no retailer ever gives the one shilling back). What the prices mean is that with Huawei P30 Lite, although you will miss out on some pro features for example being able to submerge your phone in a jar of water for a few minutes just for fun, you will be saving a whooping Kshs 70,000 – or better still, be able to buy three of the Huawei P30 Lite – one for yourself, another for your girlfriend, and one definitely for your mom. We are entering the mothers month after all and I believe she deserves a pretty functional smartphone like the Huawei P30 Lite – just to put a smile on her beautiful face.
We at Kachwanya.com already got our copy of the Huawei P30 Lite, and over the last few weeks we have been putting the device to test, and our testing is almost done. Quick impression is that the phone is pretty impressive, very useful, and delivers as promised. I particularly love the fast charging and the ability to take beautiful pictures even at night. pictures that we’ll share with you in our comprehensive review article that’s due next week.
Basically what’s important to note at this stage is that the device is perfect on body and beauty, the camera, and of course the battery life and its fast charging ability. All the other Internal specs are up to standard for modern day mid range devices too. Go grab your copy and let’s compare notes next week.
