ESET East Africa has been voted the cybersecurity company of the year at the 2018 Digital Inclusion Awards (DIA).
The competition organised by Digital Events Limited, in conjunction with the ICT Authority saw the Slovakia headquartered company beat a host of other local and international cybersecurity company.
ESET specialises in security solutions for both corporate and consumer uses. The cyber company that has been in operation in Kenya since 2015 also offers client-centric services like free cybersecurity awareness training for businesses and their employees noting that cyber breaches are caused by employee errors and ommissions.
With such training, the company aims at reducing the impact and potential for cyber attacks and related data breaches while helping organisations meet security compliance requirements. The training modules include web and email protection, how to spot phishing emails, password best practices, social engineering, two-factor authentication and Internet of Things (IoT) security.

According to Njoroge, who is in charge of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda, the award shows that the company is in the right track in growing the adoption and use of professional cybersecurity products and services in the region.
Digital Inclusion Awards aims to recognize and celebrate key businesses and entities that have adopted digital solutions in their daily business practices.
