Ford Motor Company has stepped in as this year’s Lifestyle category sponsor for the Bloggers Association of Kenya awards.Ā The motor company is a first-time sponsor of the awards now in its 6th year.
The Lifestyle category was introduced as a standalone category this year. The category that joined 19 others was previously lumped together with the Entertainment category.
While commenting on the sponsorship, Harm Kruyshaar, Market Manager, Ford Motor Company Sub-Saharan Africa, said, āFord is very proud to partner with the BAKE awards in 2017. These highly prized awards continue to recognize and reward creative writing talent across diverse categories. We believe that sponsoring the Lifestyle Award is a natural fit for us. Ford is very much a lifestyle brand, with its wide range of SUVs and well-equipped Ranger pick-up trucks that are ideally suited to lifestyle and travel pursuits.”
“We want to encourage those who use Ford vehicles for their leisure activities and travel excursions to write, photograph and share their experiences, comments, and visuals with a wide, diverse audience. This type of exposure is a sure way to encourage other people to experience similar leisure and travel opportunities,ā added Kruyshaar
BAKE chairman, Kennedy Kachwanya added, “I am happy to welcome Ford into the BAKE Awards family and I appreciate their support of content creators in the lifestyle topic area. I look forward to working with them to improve the quality of content produced online in Kenya.”
