The Facebook owned company, Instagram, has followed in the footsteps off its mother company and launched Live Video broadcasts. You can now share a live video to connect with your followers in real time via the Instagram App. To start with Instagram Live is only available to individuals residing in US. With time the feature will roll out to other markets around the world.
This comes at a time when Facebook is advancing its Live Video feature to allow one to broadcast live 360-degree videos. Videos that promise to immerse you in a virtual-like experience.
In a bid to differentiate its live video feature from that of Facebook, Instagram’s live video lifespan is as long as the broadcast itself. Once a live video has ended, it’s no longer visible on Instagram.
