Kenya has seen an influx in budget smart phones in the last few years with Huawei leading the pack followed closely by Infinix which currently dominates the market. These phones cost on average ksh 15,000, offering elegance at an affordable price hence a favourite for many Kenyans. The latest entry into the Kenyan market is the FERO range of mobile devices by MiDCOM group.

The diverse business group that operates across 17 countries in both Africa and the Middle East is the largest mobile phone distributor in both areas and has for the longest time been synonymous with the Nokia brand.

The new range of mobile phones are specifically designed to cater for the needs of the growing smart phone consumers in both Africa and the Middle East.

“We have been a distributor of all leading mobile phone brands in Africa for the last 13 years, so we already have an extensive network and partnerships in place for channel and distribution, catering to the major African markets. The years of experience and in-depth market knowledge made it an obvious choice for MiDCOM to launch its own brand. Consumers are very well-informed, and good quality products at competitive pricing is paramount. This, coupled with the logistics of distribution in Africa, is the barrier to others and the real strength of MiDCOM” Mr. Akash Kumar, Managing Director, MiDCOM Group

The FERO brand offers a range of 16 models from entry-level feature phones to sophisticated premium smartphones targeted at high-end consumers.

The models include:
