OLX partners with G4S to enhance security in delivery of goods

Are you an OLX user? I am yet to use it, but I was a die hard fun of Eric Omondi and the continuous OLX ads on TV. Anyway, if you are a heavy OLX user, things just got better. Many people placed concerns on the security level the company transfers to its users. Fraudulent business activities made people shy away from using the service. Besides that, reliability and convenience was a big issue. To ease delivery of goods, the online classified company OLX partners with G4S to prioritize security and make things easier for both buyers and sellers.

Imagine buying a plastic filled with clay soil in the name of a TV due to ignorance. Ideally, it’s hard to know if a gadget is genuine on the platform given the fact that people upload photos to justify what they are selling. The new partnership will enhance security and ease delivery to create confidence between the parties involved.

“This partnership will enable us, as OLX to enhance the safety of our users and to also lessen the burden of transport on them even as more traders, micro-businesses and consumers troop to our platform everyday to sell both New and Unused items.” Said OLX country manager Peter Ndiang’ui.

“This partnership goes a long way to deliver our commitment to provide convenient and secure service to our customers. The seller will be asked to set a security question that is to be answered by the buyer upon collection of the package with necessary identification documents including original ID/Passport.” Said G4S Secure Logistics Director, Geoffrey Mwove.

The service will let sellers on the OLX platform deliver shipment to the nearest G4S collection center for dispatch to the buyer within Nairobi. Alternatively, G4S guys can pick the goods from the seller’s home and drop them on the buyer’s doorstep.

Kenyans using OLX are better placed since security will be prioritized in the whole delivery process. Ideally,  G4S secures your people, property and assets by understanding and mitigating security risk. The partnership will make it easier for users in the country build trust in OLX given the fact that a professional security company will be involved.

“This partnership will see our users do delivery at subsidized rates and also bring the goods closer to their doorstep for convenience.” Concluded OLX Country manager Peter Ndiang’ui. OlX partners with G4S.
