The future of photography is closing in fast as many photographers come up with amazing skills in the industry. On the flip side, amateurs are also coming up with their point and shoot skills killing the growing industry, anyway, if a photo doesn’t come out perfect, you can fix it in photoshop. Nikon unveiled a beast. Nikon D5 is currently the best camera in the world with amazing features.

The camera comes with a new autofocus system, 4K video recording, and an extended ISO range of up to 3,280,000. Heh! Shooting at ISO 3.28 million is crazy because many cameras can’t handle a high ISO speed. ISO speed levels is divided into three categories: low, medium and fast ratings. Most cameras give photographers the best tonal reproduction and colors when they are using low ISO speeds. However, ISO 3.28Million is total madness and something out of this world – unbelievable.

The camera comes with a full-frame 20.8-megapixel CMOS sensor that can shoot stills at 12 frames per second (14fps with the mirror locked) and video at 4K resolution and 30fps. Backing the sensor is a new Expeed 5 image processor. Ideally, you can shoot amazing videos and take the best photos which don’t require complicated or stressful post production. Many people prefer canon in shooting videos but Nikon has stepped up with the introduction of the 4K and UHD support, though you can only shoot 4K for 3 minutes at a time.

Nikon’s new autofocus is also insane. The system uses 153 autofocus points that cover a large portion of the frame. The company provided that this is its first DSLR with a dedicated AF processor and the 153 points, 99 are cross-type.

To spice up the camera’s back, Nikon placed a 3.2-inch, 2.36-million-dot LCD touchscreen with a 100%-coverage viewfinder with 0.72x magnification. On the body, the camera packs a built-in 1000 Base-T 400MBps Ethernet connection for transferring your photos 1.5x faster than the previous Nikon D4S.

The Nikon D5 will be available in March this year and will go for $6500 (Ksh650000). Nikon made 2 different versions of the D5; a dual XQD card slot version and a dual CF card slot one.

The camera is a hands on equipment which can see in the dark without a flashlight. The camera has the ability of cranking up the shutter speed in dim light and produce spectacular shorts. The D5 is ideal for sports photographers and those guys who like taking photos at night.
