Appsafrica.com Innovation Awards celebrates the growth in mobile, technology and entrepreneurship in Africa. The awards recognize the positive technological impact and encourage future innovation in Africa. The Appsafrica Innovation Awards 2015 attracted over 200 entries from 21 countries, across 3 continents. The community was founded on January 26, 2012.

Best Mobile Innovation
Mobu (Kenya); Chura (Kenya); bookly (South Africa); Ninayo (Tanzania); M-vendr (UK) and ShoOwer (Cameroon).

Best non-data Mobile Innovation
TTC Mobile (Uganda and Tanzania); Unotify (Rwanda), Totohealth (Kenya), GeoPoll (US and Kenya) and SaferMom (Nigeria).

Women in Tech Award

The final awards for Appsafrica Innovation Awards 2015 will be supported by Mobile Monday South Africa, Uber and AppsWorld will take place on November 16th 2015 in Cape Town, South Africa. The winners will have an opportunity to showcase their brands to different tech companies and media personalities from Africa and beyond.

Africans have come up with amazing innovations that need recognition. Appsafrica.com said that the broad range and quality of entries from across Africa and beyond made the judging very difficult and they would like to thank all entrants.

In Kenya, startups are supported by a number of established institutions. Most upcoming entrepreneurs are given the best guidance and breakdown on how to sharpen their skills. This month a Kenyan startup Nim$, won the the 2015 edition of Startup Istanbul.
