In July we featured world’s thinnest phone, Samsung Galaxy A5. Today Samsung launched world’s slimmest tablet, the Galaxy Tab S2. The tablet is quit different compared to other tablets made by the company. It’s sporting 16:9 aspect ratio, uses a screen with 4:3 aspect ratio. The tablet is an iPad look-alike.

“Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is very slim and ultra-light. It has a thickness of just 5.6mm and weighs only 392 grams,” Samsung said in a statement. The 8-inch Tab S2 holds a similar size and weight advantage over the iPad mini 3, measuring just 0.22 inches thick and weighing 0.58 pounds compared with the mini 3’s 0.29 inches and 0.73 pounds. This is currently the sleekest, most attractive device Samsung has ever produced. Their clean, flat design gives it a more premium feel than last year’s Galaxy Tab S.

The tablet has multitasking and Quick Connect, which works with Samsung Smart TVs to let you easily watch TV on the tablet. The tablets run Android Lollipop 5.0.2 and like newer Samsung devices, such as the Galaxy S6 and A8, it comes with the Galaxy Life app, which offers lifestyle deals such as discounts for restaurants or spa treatments.
