Motorists will henceforth be rewarded for using their Visa Card to refill their cars at Total service stations following the launch of a promotion dubbed “Total freedom with Visa” in a collaboration between Total Kenya and Visa.
The promotion, launched today at Total’s Limuru Road service station, will run until 27 th July 2015 and aims to inform consumers of the convenience of paying for their fuel with their Visa cards, and encourage everyday spend by highlighting the various services available with Visa credit and debit cards.
Riding on TOTAL Bon Voyage fuel card, the promotion aimed at rewarding loyal motorists embracing cashless payments, will see motorists who pay for their fuel using VISA credit or debit cards at TOTAL service stations across the country entered into the promotion. The promotion running for eight weeks will have two daily winners receiving a full tank of fuel & one weekly winner receiving a year’s worth of fuel.
With the growth of e-commerce, Total Kenya has promised to offer motorists a host of payment options at the pump in the same breathe making payment for commodities and services at the stations convenient as possible.“TOTAL service stations are a key interaction point with our customers and so we promise to continuously offer innovative payment solutions that make purchases as seamless as possible.” Said Ada Eze, Total Kenya Managing Director.
According to a report released by Financial Services Depening (FSD) Kenya in February 2015, one of the key barriers to card usage in Kenya is the lack of information on the full value of the card. Consumers are not aware that they can use their card for other purposes besides withdrawing cash. “We would like to invite all cardholders to experience the full benefits of their Visa card starting at the pump,” Eze added
