Airtel appoints new Chief Executive Officer for Kenya office.

Bharti—Airtel has appointed a new CEO, Adil El Youssefi to replace Shivan Bhargava whose three- year term has come to an end.

Adil El Youssefi now Chief Executive Officer, Airtel is an ex-general manager of Milicom Group in Ghana with an experience gained in both emerged and developed markets, coupled with the technical background that will help steer the operation in Kenya.

Mr. Shivan will head Kenya’s operation after MD Rene Meza moves to Vodacom Tanzania, effective April 15, 2014.This comes with the changes that also saw the appointment of Amadou Dina who has been with Airtel for the last eight years as managing director for Seychelles.
