Pay television Company StarTimes and Jamii Bora Bank Media have today signed a Memorandum Of Understanding that will see Kenyans acquire set top boxes at a small monthly installment fee through six or nine months via a mobile application powered by Rapid Communications Limited.
The soft loan facility will be available for both account holders and non holders of Jamii Bora Bank and acquire a StarTimes Free To Air set top box from as low as Ksh644 for a 9 month installment or Ksh 932 for a 6 month option on the other hand, to acquire a StarTimes pay television decoder will enjoy flexible payment options from Kshs. 387 and 559 in 9 and 6 monthly installments respectively.
This will help Kenyans brace themselves easily ahead the digital switch at the same time Jamii Bora will expand reach and attract more customers due to the soft loans extended to the non-account holders. Interested customers should dial *858#, select ‘Loan Request’ and register individual details, a confirmation message will then be sent for one to visit any StarTimes Customer Service Centre to claim the set top box.
