One of the largest distributor MITSUMI known for distributing household global IT brands won the Africa Distributor of the year award at EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) channel Academy 2014 Awards which took place in conjunction with DISTREE EMEA.
Over 150 brands participated using the event as a platform to manage, build and launch channels across EMEA. The 17 year old distribution with a brand portfolio that includes Dell, HP, Acer, Lenovo, Asus, Toshiba, Samsung Fujitsu, Philips, Microsoft and many other leading brands is currently running 16 countries including Kenya where it recently launched 4Africa programme that will see the company distribute laptops to private schools having partnered with Kenya Private Schools Association (KPSA).
