We are just a few days away from Nairobi analogue signal switch off deadline and the competition on the pay tv space is already giving the consumers the best from those involved. A day after Dstv launched PVR decoder – the DStv Explora, StarTimes Media announced a revamped channel offering across news and movies, giving viewers a wider selection of programming to choose from.

FOX news a24-hour news service will deliver breaking news as well as local and international political and business developments, while Bloomberg delivering business & financial news from across 72 countries to StarTimes subscribers.

Dedicated to showcase and exploit the continent’s finest thespian talent, Star Africa will be airing a wide range of movies drawn from Kenya, South Africa and Nigeria.

Star Movies will be the ultimate ticket to the hottest smash hit movies of the year! Where latest Hollywood releases fresh off the big screen will air. Star Movies will be accessible on channel 011 on the Bouquet which retails at Ksh 1,999 per month. Star One will be available on StarTimes Channel 014 on Classic Bouquet which retails at Ksh 999 per month.

It should be noted that StarTimes recently reduced the cost of acquiring both the StarTimes Pay Television and Free to Air decoders to Ksh 2,999 and 4,999 respectively.  Both of the decoders are enabled with one month Unique Bouquet subscription which normally retails at Ksh1, 999.
