Bob Collymore wants roaming tariffs within East Africa lowered. The call for EA community to speed up the talk on lowering calling rates within the region is a good move, although the same Safaricom has been against cross network termination rates within the country. Even though his call for lower rates is a good indication, Bob should just take the EU route and call for elimination of roaming tariffs altogether. Calling rates with EA and later within AU should be standardized across all network providers.
