A chance to win $25,000 with Afrinolly

Afrinolly is again giving African film makers a chance to win $25,000. Last year Afrinolly gave away $100,000 in prizes to short film producers through the Afrinolly’s Short Film competition. Following the success of the first round of competition and with support of Buni TV, the Nigerian mobile app has announced the second round of competition. The competition that still targets to give away prizes at $5,000 for the third placed film, $10,000 for the second placed film and $25,000 for the top short film opened submissions online on September 1st 2013 and will close on November 30th 2013. Submissions can be made by following this link  http://afrinollyshortfilmcompetition.com. Potential submissions should not exceed 15 minutes and all films not in English are encouraged to have English subtitles. The winners will see their films distributed on both Afrinolly and Buni TV.

This year’s partnership with Buni TV will help promote the competition to East African filmmakers. “Buni TV and Afrinolly share a strong commitment to support new African film talents,” said Buni TV CEO Marie Lora-Mungai. “We would like to encourage filmmakers from across the continent, and especially from Kenya and East Africa, to take advantage of this great opportunity to showcase their work.”
