Orange Kenya PEWA- Orange Increased the Emergency Credit From Ksh.15 to Ksh.50

Written by

So Orange has increased its emergency credit offering (PEWA) from Ksh.15 , to 50. Now the Orange subscribers have the options of either borrowing Ksh.15 or Ksh.50. The KSh 50 offering can also be used to purchase an unlimited daily mobile internet bundle.

Great improvement but considering that with Safaricom Okoa Jahazi , the subscribers  can borrow upto Ksh.100, it is still below par. Plus Orange need to make PEWA, permanent service in their network.  I like part that you can use the Ksh. offering to purchase an unlimited daily mobile internet bundle

Orange Mobile pre-paid customers can dial *133# to access PEWA while those on the Orange Wireless network can send *133*15# or *133*50# as a text to 133. PEWA can be used for both on-net and off-net calls; SMSs, Data, as well as other value added services including subscription to free calls on Holla, the company’s all inclusive daily bundled offer.

PEWA is free for the first 24 hours after the issuance of the credit advance, after which a service charge of 10 percent will be effected. However, the suspension period from the service has also been reduced from 30 days to 15 days.
