Samsung Launches Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom

Samsung today announced the launch of the Samsung GALAXY S4 zoom, a new Galaxy S4 variant which combines the features of GALAXY S4 smartphone with more advanced photographic capabilities.

Samsung last year launched Android camera called Galaxy Camera but this one is a real smartphone with the emphasis being on the camera. It has 10x Optical Zoom, 16 Mega Pixel CMOS Sensor, OIS and Xenon Flash. There is built-in optical stabilization, which I guess would make it easier to take photos in low light and video without too much shakiness.

Samsung has introduced a new feature/interface called Zoom Ring.  Zoom Ring a simple way to access the GALAXY S4 zoom’s key features.  When you’re in the middle of a phone call and you see something you absolutely have to share, a quick twist of the Zoom Ring will activate the In-Call Photo Share feature, letting you capture and send an image directly via MMS to whoever you are talking to.

The interface allows easy camera navigation and can be used to activate the Quick Launch and Shortcut features, giving you instant access to multiple camera modes including Auto, Gallery and Smart Mode with a simple twist.

The Galaxy S4 Zoom has Android 4.2, (Jelly Bean) a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED 960×540-pixel screen; LTE network connectivity; a 1.5GHz dual-core processor; 8GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot for up to 64GB more capacity; a 2,330mAh battery; and Samsung’s range of extra software.
