Kenyan start-up Mpayer emerged second on the Dragons Den Pitching Competition at the Global Forum . Mpeyer was among the five selected from 50 top SME entrepreneurs from Africa and other continents to participate in a Dragons Den Pitching Competition at the Global Forum.
Greengar from Vietnam was the overall winner for its app that connects different mobile devices to enable real-time communication. Afroes from South Africa was third, for its mobile applications delivering positive educational messages.
The others were were Amant Antennas from Egypt for its novel cellular-based antenna technology covering multiple frequency bands, and Microforester from Armenia for an app that tracks forestation projects.
Mpayer is a mobile and web application that enables businesses to manage their payment transactions using both Mobile Money and cash.
