It is campaign time and parties and coalitions are trying all they can , to out do each other. Jubilee coalition have portrayed themselves as the Digital campaign while that of Cord is Analog. And in the effort to prove that, they did some pretty good work during the their Manifesto’s launch.
To add to that, today they have announced the launch of UhuRuto2013 Mobile Application for Android(Google). The app host the rss feeds from the site uhuruto2013.com
“We at UhuRuto2013 would like to give an opportunity to Kenyans to access the latest information about the Jubilee coalition led by Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta(TNA) and his Deputy William Ruto(URP) on their mobile phones.”
I have played around with it before writing this post and from it, I was able to watch the whole re-run of the Presidential debate and other campaign videos by the Jubilee campaign.
Other content on the app are TV interviews, press clips from different Media Houses in Kenya, Comments by the supporters. The app also allows the users to share the content on social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, Google plus and Pinterest.
The Android users should be able to download the application from the Google Play store. For the other platforms, Jubilee Team says, it is already possible to access the mobile web platform of the site http://www.uhuruto2013.com .
hehehe the “digital” generation as alright in getting the tech bits on point, sawa hio! But speaking from the huge exposure that I have with the politics-loving youths, they’ll just download the app today, test it and see it’s offing and almost immediately forget about it!!!! :-/
