Nokia and Safaricom today announced exclusive availability of Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone 8 smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 920. They also announced a deal on the mid-range Nokia Lumia 820 recently launched in Kenya.
There is an initial offer of KES 54,999 which will include a 1.5GB data bundle and KES 500 airtime by Safaricom. The first five hundred customers to take up this offer will also receive a free Nokia wireless charging plate, the perfect companion for the Lumia 920.
Lumia 920 is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon dual-core processor, has a 4.5-inch IPS LCD display with resolution of 1280 x 768 and 332ppi, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video capture plus a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
Safaricom will also offer the Lumia 820 with a compelling bundle deal: KES 44,999 including 1.5GB of data and KES 500 airtime with the wireless charging shell in box.
The Lumia 820 has the same processor as 920 , a 4.3-inch AMOLED display with resolution of 800 x 400 and 217ppi, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD to 64GB. It has 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video recording capability and a VGA front-facing camera.
