Google Student Africa Summit Kicks off Today

The Google Student Africa Summit starts today in Nairobi to 13th June at Chandaria Auditorium, Visa Oshwal, Westlands for 3 days of learning, creativity, networking.

The summit will bring together over 150 students from 10 countries including Nigeria, Senegal, Uganda, South Africa, Tanzania, Cameroon and Kenya.

Date: Monday, June 11th

Venue: Chandaria Auditorium, Visa Oshwal Centre, Westlands

Time: 8:30am

The Google Student Ambassadors are students who are thrilled by new technology, enthusiastic about Google, and involved in their school communities. The event will bring together these students who share a mutual passion for technology and innovation, as well as Googlers from all over Africa. The students range from majoring in Computer Science, to Anthropology, Business and Zoology!

The Ambassadors will each represent their university’s unique culture and get the opportunity to learn about innovative Google products and programs that can be used in everyday campus life. The event will give them the opportunity to enhance their professional development, leadership, and communication skills, and access to a unique network of other Ambassadors across the globe.

Sessions will include: The GSA Program, Apps training, Building internet eco-systems in Africa among others.
