Have you ever heard of WordCamp? Yes..word and then add camp. The word part is to do with wordpress users and for the camp, i don’t think i need to define that. So wordcamp is a camp that focuses on anything to do with wordpress from plugin development, blogging, website development and other wordpress contributions.
WordCamp is coming to East Africa for the first time and only the second time that this great event is going to be organized in Africa. Wordcamp has happened once before in South Africa.
WordCamp 2011 is happening on 12th and 13th November 2011 at Crayfish Camp (YES, in a real campsite) in Naivasha, about 100km from Nairobi.
So why wordcamp?
Majority of blogs and websites in Kenya are done using wordpress. Whether you are a Blogger, designer, web developer ,content manager or general reader , you will all find WordCamp Kenya 2011 very useful. The the speakers range from techie level to user levels. The speakers will be talking about content and the basics of WordPress, useful even for beginners.
Do you Like Naivasha? I bet you are, and the campsite will be just next to the lake. There will be two days of learning and fun. Attendees will have a great chance to network and learn great loads of useful tips on how to use WordPress effectively.
For the great 2 days of learning, food, tented accommodation, refreshments, transport from and back to Nairobi and meeting of great potentials, you will only need to pay Kshs. 2,500 for early birds and Kshs. 3,000 afterwards. I have to say this is a great deal..Grab a spot right now
There are a few spots left for eloquent speakers who understand their game when comes to WordPress use. Be it blogging, wordpress web and mobile development, content management and general use of wordpress.
