BBC Digital Planet, tech show on BBC World Service is coming to Nairobi

BBC Digital Planet, the technology show on BBC World Service, is coming to Nairobi and they would love to meet local listeners and people in the tech community.? So how big is tech community in Kenya? Depending on how one defines the phrase? “tech community”, the number in Kenya should be quite high.? According to Wikipedia Tech is a broad concept that deals with human as well as other animal species’ usage and knowledge of tools and crafts, and how it affects a species’ ability to control and adapt to its environment.

On Facebook event wall post Michelle Martin? wrote? The target for our programme is ‘ordinary tech geeks’ and business people – just your average person who is interested in how technology is affecting global culture”

The venue the last time I checked was not yet confirmed and i guess they are still looking for suggestions but the date is this coming Friday September 11th 2009.
