Samsung’s Trustonic for KNOX to benefit Governments and Enterprises

Governments, enterprises and vertical industry clients are set to gain from the new Samsung mobile security solution, Trustonic for KNOX, a powerful platform that has been advanced to have strong user authentication, single sign-on, secure tokenisation, and enhanced trust for mobile device management.

Trustonic for KNOX is embedded in Samsung’s new flagship Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones and will be made available across a selection of other existing Samsung Galaxy mobile devices via software updates.

Samsung’s Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge integrate the Trustonic Trusted User Interface, which simplifies user authentication by enabling simpler passwords, protects against attempts at click-jacking, and increases end user confidence that transaction approvals are genuine.

Trustonic for KNOX combines the advanced and robust integrated security features of Samsung KNOX with Trustonic TEEs’ hardware-based security to provide a trusted platform for service providers to deliver an enriched, simplified and consistent user experience.

With Android uptake increasing notably in enterprise, Samsung has positioned itself at the forefront as a global leader in the android based mobility market by building defense grade and highly accredited mobile security platforms such as KNOX into its mobile devices and strategically partnering with established technology partners that are crucial in the delivery of comprehensive enterprise solutions. With Trustonic for KNOX, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will grant enterprises access to a powerful and stylish device with the potential to unlock employee productivity without sacrificing security along the way.

Samsung has promised to maintain the trend of providing solutions to customers and partners to allow them use their mobile devices at their place of work. Embedding the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge with Trustonic for KNOX enables ecosystem players to build new services and applications that are predicted to take mobile security to a new level.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will be launched in Nairobi on 16th April 2015.
