Infinix Launches Infinix S2 PRO also known as “Wefie”

Written by

It has been a reserve for the high-end Phones, wide-angle lenses which allow the selfie loving generation to take a selfie as a group without the need for the selfie stick but Infinix is now doing some justice to the budget phone buyers. Starting today Infinix, will introduce the Infinix S2 PRO also known as “Wefie”.  According to Infinix “Wefie stands for the sharing of one’s happiness and technological breakthroughs alike”. I must say, Infinix has outdone themselves here, especially with the front cameras…Yes, the phone comes with dual front cameras, one of which comes with 13.0 megapixels and beautification functions and the other with an ultra-wide angle of 135° and 8.0 megapixels.

Four or so years ago selfie was somehow important but was never seen as the central point for the phone innovation and intense competition but that seems to have chnaged. Playing on the narcissistic nature of humans, front cameras are becoming more important feature in a phone than the back cameras.  In this case Infinix S2 PRO has 13MP back camera but 13MP plus 8MP front cameras. And my guess is, more of such phones will be coming our way in the coming months and years.

What else is on Infinix S2 PRO ?

The phone has a 5.2-inch HD display with 2.5D glass, a fingerprint sensor, 3GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage, a 3,000mAh battery and  XOS interface based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

S2 PRO will be available for sale from today 10th of April 2017 on the online retailer, Jumia for 15,699. So for slightly over 15k, you get 32GB storage, 3GB Memory and 13MP camera….i think this is a great deal
