Nokia has made a comeback into the mobile phone space with the launch of the Nokia 6 smartphone. And yes it is Android! This is the first of such devices to be launched by HMD Global who secured the rights to make phones under the Nokia brand for 10 years. Just as a recap, HMD is made up of ex-Nokia staff.
According to a press statement by HMD Global, more Nokia phones will be unveiled in the first half of 2017. More specifically, we look forward to the firm announcing the other Android devices at the Mobile World Congress (MWC).

If you expect to have the Nokia 6 in your market very soon, then you are in for a rude shock. Nokia 6 will debut exclusively through JD.com in early 2017 in China. The phone will come with a price tag of 1,699 Yuan (approximately Ksh.25,000).
With this smartphone, you will get to enjoy a 5.5-inch full HD display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass coating.
Operating System and Memory
The Nokia 6 smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. This comes accompanied with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. The storage is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card.
As we had mentioned before, Nokia 6 is powered by the most recent Android OS, Android Nougat v7.0.
The phone features a 16 MP phase detection auto focus rear camera with f/2.0 aperture. For the selfie addicts, the Nokia 6 will offer you an 8 MP front camera.
The Nokia 6 is a 4G enabled device. In matters connectivity, it also supports Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS and USB-OTG.
Most of the phones that have been launched of late come bearing finger print scanners and the Nokia 6 is no exception. You will find the finger print scanner neatly incorporated in the home button. Essentially, the home button now doubles up as a fingerprint scanner.
The Nokia 6 packs a 3,000 mAh battery with quick charge. Just for the record, the Nokia 6 smartphone has an aluminium body.
