Sinai Fire Tragedy: Open Letter to Kenyans Online

Dear Bloggers, Social Media people, Online readers.

I hope you are all keeping well. Since  it is so hard to write a formal letter these days, i will go straight to the point. The Sinai fire ,the death toll according to the Kenya Red Cross is at 95, with 118 people reported missing.  Halima Murunga is organizing to visit  to the command center , Tom Mboya Social Hall ,on Sunday and she asking your help . Anyone willing to join her  to visit the command center or donate any of the items listed below can contact her via Twitter at @HalimaMurunga or via e-mail

The centre is accepting donations of the following items.

  • Blankets
  • Tissue paper
  • Soap
  • Sanitary pads
  • Clothes
  • Mattresses
  • Baby Food
  • Diapers
  • ARV’s
  • Foodstuff

What else can we do?

Donate Blood
Hope Worldwide has set up a blood donation centre at the Bomb Blast Park, there are also centres at the Kenyatta National Hospital and Christina Gardens in Thika.
Your blood donation will not only serve to help the victims of the current disaster, but it will boost the national blood bank, improving its ability to deal with the next disaster.
