Safaricom New Modem Speed Test

On Monday Safaricom launched a new  modem, upgrading from maximum capability of 14 Mbps to 21Mbps. I got a hold of one from Safaricom and here is the speed test  in town..

So when you go to the Safaricom shops look for something like this:

Price

The  modems retail at Ksh.9999,  mmmmh i wonder why they go for 9999 something instead of just saying 10k. Ok, now leave the 9999 nonsense a side, there is an offer where if you buy the safaricom data  amounting to 20GB, at Ksh.9999, you get the modem for free.

Places covered

The initial testing stage is being done in Nairobi covering 80 base stations. Some of the areas covered are Lavington, Langata, , Westlands, Upperhill, South B, South C and parts of Industrial Area. If your area is not yet covered, Bob promised to have them covered soon.
