Another weekend another system upgrade from Safaricom.   Well the last one about Mpesa was not bad. Safaricom will be upgrading their systems this weekend. The exercise is scheduled to run from Saturday 26th Feb 2011 at 8pm to Sunday 27th Feb 2011 at 10am

Below are the list of what you will miss, for me it just the internet mmmh and i can’t call Airtel:

• Calls and SMS to other local and international networks

•  All top up methods – Scratch cards, M-PESA , Bamba Poa and ATM based top-ups

•  Sambaza

•  PrePay Roaming Services

•  Internet

•  MMS

•  Get it 411

•  Premium Rated SMS services

•  Skiza,

•  Okoa Jahazi

•  212 services i.e. newline activations, tariff migration and language change.

•  Post pay subscribers will also not be able to pay their bills using any of the available methods.
